Nathan Gedge



Nathan Gedgeis a two-term member of the West Jordan City Planning and Zoning Commission (2008-present) and in his first term as a member of the West Jordan Western Stampede Steering (Executive) Committee as chair of the Concessions Subcommittee.  He was previously a candidate West Jordan City Council (District 1); the 2008 Democratic Party candidate for the Utah State House of Representatives (District 42) and the Jordan School District Board of Education (Precinct 7).

Nathan Gedge is also a co-founder and member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Children and Youth with Diabetes, Inc. (FCYD), a non-profit, 501{c}3 organization that operates Utah's diabetes camp for children, FCYD Camp UTADA.  Additionally, he is a life-member and serves on the Board of Directors of the Diabetes Education and Camping Association and is a member of the Finance and Website committees and former chair of the 2007 PEAK Utah Conference and DTreat board liaison.

Nate is a proud graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in political science and minors in communications and history.  Professionally, he is employed as the Director of Pharmacy and Medicare Services for EMI Health (formerly Educators Mutual Insurance Association), a Utah-based healthcare plan.  He is also a freelance insulin pump trainer, certified by Medtronic Diabetes (Minimed), Roche Diagnostics (Accu-Chek, Disetronic), Smiths Medical (Deltec), Omnipod and One Touch (Animas).

Nate is married to his wife Julie and they are the parents of Jackson, Abbey, Taylor, Libby and Stockton along with their furry children Chewie and Leia.  They are residents of West Jordan, Utah.
